Hey Social Science!

There have been a ton of events going on this past month on campus including the Down With Webster concert that took place January 19th at the Wave. Your Social Science Students' Council has been busy making sure the rest of your semester is filled with good memories. Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone who attended Down With Webster and made this first time concert event a huge success for all Western students.

As the semester continues Social Science Students' Council wants to keep you informed with your USC Elections. Please take the time to check out www.voteusc.ca to learn about all of the candidates who are running for various elected positions on campus, especially for your next Social Science Students' Council President. Campaigning will continue until Monday, February 13th at 11:59pm and voting takes place Tuesday February 14th - Wednesday February 15th online at www.voteusc.ca

The Bravery Bunch committee, which is your SSSC's charity committee, put on a wonderful coffee house at the Spoke this past Thursday night. Bravery Bunch is working towards raising money for CHF (Children's Health Foundation) which is the SSSC's affiliated charity. I would like to thank all of the volunteers who came out to perform! A special thank you to the Bravery Bunch for all their hard work and dedication.

The SSSC has continued to make a statement on campus by announcing their second concert, DRAGONETTE. Dragonette will be at the Wave, Thursday, March 22nd 2012. Please check out the facebook event here. Tickets are $20.00 and are subsidized through the Social Science Student Donation fund. Tickets are available through InfoSource, online and through the SSSC Promotional Team.

I would like to wish everyone good luck on their upcoming midterms and remember to VOTE February 14th and 15th.

Until next time,

Ashley
